Big Dawg grew up with music all around him. Having a very musical family, the
love for music was already there from the day he was born, and even before that
! (Ask his mother...) Spoonfed with the sounds of the Temptations, Earth,
Wind And Fire, etc it isn't hard to see why his life spells M.U.S.I.C. !
After being very creative with 2 turntables and a tapedeck he bought his first
synthesizer at age 14 and started composing and producing beats in his own home
studio. He wrote songs for the R&B group Chosen 4 Soul and was
immediately noticed by another Producer Glenn Pocorni, who wanted him
to be the house-engineer at the big “Malutha” Studio in Amsterdam. Big
Dawg just rounded up the Producer/Enigineering Academy RBS in
Rotterdam.
After almost 2 years Big Dawg had enough experience to start doing
his "own thing". He met Jeroen Post (Aka Max Milo), who was a
VJ at Musicstation TMF and with him he started the Dawgystyle
Productions Company. In their new studio "Da Dawghouse" in the
city of Mijdrecht they started writing and producing songs for artist like :
Gio, The Party Squad, JayKay, One-J (Album), Masta ,
Mr. Phillips, Jose Bueno, BS-One, Charlee (France), Myriam Abel
(France), Men 2 B, RAW , Chop Dezol (USA), Ameerah
(Belgium),
Thanks to Myspace Big Dawg started
getting more and more interest from artists from the US, so he decided to fully
concentrate on that market and soon he started working with people like Eric
Williams (Blackstreet), GI (H-Town), Ahmir, Cupid, Paul Wall,
Latif, Shaun Mykals, Julien Thompson, Dav Hall, Nelson (Bad Boy) and many
many more... Within a year he had done over 100 songs with about 50 different
artists and his drive kept on growing.
In March 2008 he found a good management over in New York in the person of
Michael J. Cheung Esq, who also manages the group Ahmir and
with his help they're working on more and more song
placements. Currently Big Dawg is working on placements for
Bobby V., J. Holiday, Joe, Ginuwine, Lil Al B Sure... Big Dawg
developed himself rapidly to a highly demanded producer and keeps on driving
himself to gain more and more success.
To him there's no limit in what you can achieve, as long as you give your
"all". With the back up of EMI Publishing, with whom he just signed a new deal,
Big Dawg is on his way to the top, so BEWARE OF DA DAWG !!! |
