London – EMI Music Publishing, the world’s leading publisher of popular music, has renewed its long-term worldwide publishing agreement with three-time Grammy award winning singer, songwriter and musician Pink.
Pink has written and recorded some of the most successful and instantly recognizable songs of the last 10 years including ‘Get The Party Started’, ‘Trouble’, ‘Stupid Girls’, ‘So What’ and ‘Fuckin’ Perfect’, and was crowned Billboard’s number one Pop Artist of the decade in 2009. She has released five studio albums and sold over 40 million albums and 70 million singles globally. The renewed administration deal with EMI Music Publishing, brokered by Jon Platt, President of North American Creative, will see all of Pink’s future songwriting work, as well as her extensive catalog, represented by the company’s network of offices around the world.
Pink said: "I'm happy to have re-signed with EMI because they've been with me since the beginning and I look forward to the future with them."
Jon Platt commented: “Pink is a multi-talented songwriter and performer who seamlessly crosses genres. From pop to rock, she recognizes originality and creativity, and she’s always growing and developing as a songwriter. It’s a privilege to continue our partnership with her.”
Pink embarked on her solo career in 2000, and soon found success with her critical and commercial breakthrough studio album ‘Missundaztood’. Producing four top 20 singles - ‘Family Portrait’, ‘Get the Party Started’, ‘Just Like a Pill’ and ‘Don't Let Me Get Me’ - ‘Missundaztood’ went on to sell an estimated 13 million copies worldwide.
Pink’s subsequent studio albums ‘Try This’, ‘I’m Not Dead’ and ‘Funhouse’ have all been multi-million selling and peaked within the top ten on the Billboard Hot 100. ‘Funhouse’ gave Pink her first US number one single with ‘So What’, followed a few years later by ‘Raise Your Glass’, the Billboard Hot 100 number one single from Pink’s first greatest hits album ‘Greatest Hits…So Far!!!’. Her 2006 album ‘I’m Not Dead’ topped the album chart in counties as diverse as Germany, Russia, and Australia where it is certified 11 times platinum. Pink is currently working on her sixth studio album which is due for release later this year.
Pink has received numerous industry accolades and awards from across the globe including three Grammy Awards, a Brit Award, two ASCAP Awards, two BMI Pop Awards and five MTV Video Music Awards.
